October to May is the best season to visit Muktinath.
The situation at the moment should not deter travelers to visit Nepal.

Political situation is sill unstable, Maoist government fall down couple of days ago. PM Prachanda Has reigned. but still OK for to visit Nepal as tourist not any single tourist has been hurt by any parties however you have to have a flexible travels plans sometime you should change your plans because of the strike.
besides than that not much to worry about……
