Never had a poblem with the maoists. In fact, they welcome tourists who can feed the fragile economy out of the Kathmandu valley area.
Only, now one needs to be careful and more considerate - no drugs, no sex abuse and you need to be more patient and polite with the locals.
The US Ambassador - God rest his soul - cannot keep me from visiting Nepal to see one of the wonders of the natural world - morning sunlight on the slopes of the Himalayas.
