  1. I have traveled in Nepal with VSSN; http://www.volunteer-nepal.org
this organization has impressed me a lot. They are really doing social work with a responsible manner. You will have a really good friends in Nepal if you join them.

  2. How do you know that they want your help? Maybe they are fine as they are. You need to first determine who needs your help and is asking for it through recognized volunteer organizations, otherwise trying to do it on your own may get you killed for your organs, or sold into slavery, or otherwise put into unpleasant situations.

  3. Nameste!!! Whatever you take with you bring back, especially rubbish, even tissues, the Nepalese have no way of disposing of the stuff an it all goes to landfill. Take lots of ball point pens, boxes of them for the kids in the schools, especially in the countryside. That would be helpfull. There’s plenty of websites helping you lodge with families, remember they don’t use toilet paper, so don’t use it when your at a home ‘cus it WILL block the drains, there not designed for it. Get out of Kathmandu asap, I loved the bartering there for everything, but some can’t stand it. Go to Pokhara, an Chitawan National park, its very cool, they have like 150 species of butterflies there, tigers, everything, an the Terai people are cool. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. All the best.
